So overlooked sometimes, and rather difficult for students to grasp these 2 functions, the conditionals and reported speech. Even I had to really study it on my own and feel comfortable with it, to be able to teach it to my students; it sure can be challenging. But very important they are, no doubt. From the zero conditional to the mixed conditionals, it's hard of course for students to remember the numbering, but being able to apply it is the hard part. Lots of drilling is obviously required here to get it across to the students. Reported speech is also a sticky and complex thing for students to grasp correctly, and let alone the time expressions, for example, tomorrow becoming the following day, is something that takes a lot of time for students to grasp thoroughly.
