In this unit, I could review some learning and behavior theories such as Maturation, Environmental and Constructivism and their main characteristics. Writers mentioned what factors contribute or not for L2 acquisition and also divided the group of young learners into two: GROUP 1 are students from 5 to 9 years old and GROUP 2, from 9 to 13. Children likes and dislikes were shown in order to help understanding their "world" and planning the lesson in a more effective way. Seating arrangements and their objectives were clarified as well as teachers' role. I really enjoyed this unit and could learn a lot from it once I can reflect upon my position as a teacher in the classroom.
