Unite 3 comprehends an overview of types of tests, including needs analysis and level testing. We learned what are Diagnostic, Placement, Aptitude, Achievement, Proficiency and Progress tests. Furthermore, we learned three key aspects surrounding the handling of these tests so that their use is maximized (timeliness with respect to marking and annotating them for feedback, and the use of this feedback towards the improvement of the course). Furthermore, Unite 3 also introduces us to the very important topic of syllabus design.
One additional note: some of the questions in this test involve knowledge of details not taught in the PDF, but which can be intelligently guessed by a student at best. For example, knowing how many and when progress tests should be placed, is not in Unite 3's lesson, although one can derive a plausible answer from looking at the example of a syllabus given therein.
