This unit covered two of the four basic skills in any language, which are reading and listening. It explained how all of the four skills are equally important, and there are two widely ranging reasons and motives for reading and listening. This unit also provided specific areas under reading and listening which were: predictive skills, scanning, skimming, detailed information, and deduction from context. It was helpful to me because this unit provided terms to something that I knew it was important but I couldn't explain concisely.
