Teaching the future tense to new learners is another lesson that may take up quite a bit of time in order to make sure that all students feel comfortable with each of the forms. Even though Unit 8 only encompasses seven forms that are used predominately in the English language, it can still come off as quite a lot to new learners. Especially considering that two of the forms, the present continuous and the present simple, are also used in the present tense. Thus this can lead to some students becoming confused on certain sentence structures and determining if they are in fact in the present tense or in the future tense. Once each form is properly broken down with plenty of examples and different activities for the students to try, the differences between each form will become more obvious to the students. Just like with any other tense, the more the students are able to practice, the more they will become comfortable in utilizing them on a daily basis and knowing when the proper form is to be used within a sentence structure.
