Within Unit 6, we learn about the differences between the four past tenses. Compared to learning about the present tenses, learning the past tenses comes a bit easier as it is not as complex as the present tenses. When starting the topic of past tense with students, a simple activity to do can be just retelling what they had done the day before. Especially if the topic is being started on a Monday, the students will be able to retell what they have done over their weekend. Thus creating student talk time that can be done in groups or as a whole with the class. One past tense that may create a bit of difficulty teaching, is that of the past perfect continuous as it is a topic that was barely touched upon in any English class teachings and is rarely used among the four tenses.
