The last unit goes over crucial elements of a classroom. Like for instance, what not to do in the first lesson would be not to fill the lesson plan with grammar exercises. A good activity for class morale would be passing the ball around. I find that it could help students open up a little bit more and start bonds with fellow classmates. A happier student will make a great learner and it's a great package deal if the teacher can provide fun activities in the classroom. The first day shouldn't be about opening your textbook, it should be about getting the students to feel welcomed and providing a safe and fun environment for them, no matter the age or class size.
