This unit discussed about the importance of intonation, stress and the use of phonemes for correct pronunciation. It discussed that the spelling in english can be similar but the meaning is clearly different thus using the international phonetic alphabet might help in understanding the words better. In my opinion, this will be the most difficult activity that I studied. It really needs time and effort to remember the correct pronunciation in the phonetic alphabet and how to use them properly. It was also a challenge in looking for the easiest ways on how to teach this lesson for our future students. I think I will need to keep on practicing and accomplish more drills so that I can understand the topic more completely. As a result, I will be confident to teach this lesson in the future.
