Milica completed her 120-hour TEFL course with ITTT and is now teaching English to students in a summer camp in Italy. In this TEFL review video she gives an insight into the kind of activities her students enjoy while learning English.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
In this unit I gained some good ideas for planning lessons and good ways to get students interested in learning about different aspects of language. It is interesting to note the three main different sections - vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. I am particularly interested in the teaching of vocabulary and different 'engage' phase activities to plan for this. This unit dealt with why we should make lesson plans and gave an example of a lesson plan.It also gave reasons as to why a lesson plan should be written down.I liked that it explained what should and shouldn't be used in a lesson plan, particularly the learner objectives. I feel that a teacher should always keep in mind what exactly they hope to have achieved by the end of the class.
