In this chapter, I learned a lot about the behavioral side of managing a classroom. This is important because at the end of the day it important that we, as in service providers, know how to identify what is and is not working in the classroom and why. By identifying how to effectively establish rapport we can avoid having teacher-to-student conflict in terms of losing tempers.There are definite parallels between the rules that govern the grammatical structures of the Past Tenses and the Present Tenses. This made it a lot easier to again grasp material I was familiar with through everyday usage at a more formal or linguistic level. The subtle differences between the past continuous , past perfect and past perfect continuous still trip me up a little.
