Iskender is from Turkey and he is teaching English in Mongolia. He recently completed our 120-hour TEFL certification course and was able to apply his new-learned skills in his classroom. He saw immediate results and his students improved greatly.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
Unit 3 was packed full of useful information on level testing, needs analysis, and syllabus design. I found the sample syllabus most helpful.
The level descriptions and examples of level tests were also informative, as was the content on assessment of students and the CYLE examinations. This unit was challenging and covered a lot of material that was especially valuable for me.I found this unit to be, more or less, common sense. All material covered is dependent on each individual classroom's students. If they are very young I would not think to put them in separate tables arrangement. Instead, whole class or occasionally circle formation would be the better option to maintain their focus and attention. However, I am thankful to now have the knowledge.
