This unit when over the productive skills: Speaking and writing, and provided a few lesson plans that can help students flex those skills. The two skills have unique advantages and disadvantages. Students have more time to workout mistakes when writing, where as speaking can be corrected much quicker but affords little time for the student to think through their own responses.The theme of this unit is how to develop the receptive skills of students, focusing on the reading part. I find it also difficult, and sometimes discuraging, when I read texts with too many unknown words or grammar structures. This is why I understand that the level of difficulty has to be taken in consideration, so it could be enough to help students to build self confidence.
