Unit 13 is about the teaching and use of pronunciation and phonology in the english language. The use of correct pronunciation and articulation in english is reported as one of the most challenging parts of learning english as a foreign language and as such the teaching thereof can be challenging and potentially complex. This unit clarifies the structure of how english is spoken through intonation, stress(or the lack of) and phonetic syllables. We are also given a biological examination of where and how the sounds are vocalised in the body.
