In Unit 13, I have learnt something important about pronunciation and phonology. Just as investigated, pronunciation is the most difficult part in English. I’ve ever studied something about pronunciation, such as International Phonetic Alphabet, sound joining and linked speech. But intonation, stress and rhythm are all still difficult for me to perceive. After this lesson, I could learnt these systematically. It's relatively easy for me about individual sounds, sounds in connected speech and stress within words. In addition, the rules of stress within whole utterances are very clear and easy to master. However, I think I need spend more time on practicing the intonation and rhythm. Generally speaking, pronunciation and phonology are very important and I will teach student about these as much as possible by using all the techniques mentioned.
