This unit presents a lot of interesting material which I find to be very important for new ESL teachers. One of the most important aspects is the do’s and don’ts recommendations for us to use while teaching different groups and the approach that we must take in the classrooms when dealing with a diverse group of students in them. Understanding that there are many students with different types of learning backgrounds, different interests and different motivation for learning English; and moreover, there are students that may also have different levels of literacy in their own native language which could be beneficial or may represent an additional challenge while dealing with them. However, this unit provides information to better manage classroom setting with group of students working together who may range greatly in age, with a of different educational levels and variety types of learning backgrounds.
