A good teacher really needs to be discerning because the needs of his or her students may be dramatic in range. Therefore, a good teacher must primarily be concerned about the welfare of each individual student rather than themselves. In this way, they will be able to assess the level of each student and then determine which role as a teacher they need to fill in order to maximize the learning experience for each student. A good teacher will accept their diverse role responsibility and hopefully, in turn, a good learner will respond by showing their willingness to learn, adapt and experiment with the language. A good learner is mostly willing, determined and humble. The humility is demonstrated in their willingness to ask questions as well as accept correction. This quality helps the learner to be teachable and the teacher will be able to help them to make advancement rather than plateau.
