In this unit I learned approaches and techniques for teaching new vocabulary, grammatical structures, and language functions. The ESA approach is usually straight arrow for vocabulary, and boonerang or patchwork for grammar and functions. In my audit training experience, straight arrow works for technical topics like statistical sampling, and boomerang or patchwork for things like technical writing and interpersonal relations.
