This unit was about conditionals which included zero conditionals, first conditionals, second conditionals, third conditionals, and mixed conditionals. It was also about reported speech and directed speech in reference to verbs, pronouns, and time expressions. I felt the reported speech was much harder to learn than the conditionals. The reported speech assumed to be saying the same exact thing with one word differences. In speech, we do not stop to think about whether we should use "today" or "that day" because it literally refers to the same thing. I could see how this could further confuse foreign students who have to learn that there are more than one way to same something whether it is in the proper form or not (everyday speech).
