There is much nuance to both learning and teaching English. Two skills that a teacher needs to teach and that a learner needs to learn are: reading and listening. The teacher needs to take great care to use the correct level of material for a student to practice both listening and reading. If the material is too difficult then the learner will be frustrated and overwhelmed. If the material is too easy then the leaner will become bored. A proper balance must be achieved. This takes care and practice but is worth the work because learning will take place.
