The begining part of this unit shows us how we can be good teachers by letting us know that, as teachers we need to care about our teaching but must even care more about the learning of our students.It also reminds us of the roles we need to play and when to play such roles as teachers.
Apart from the teachers, the unit also explains how we can identify good and bad learners, and to formulate the best ways to encourage our learners to develop interest and motivation in the classrom.We are also reminded of the disparity between adults and young learners so we can employ the best ways and methods to teach them.Added to that is the ability of the teacher to distinguish between different levels of ability in the English language.
Culture and native language are issues that teachers should always keep in mind.
And finally we must understand that a motivated student has a greater chance of success than a student without motivation.
