In general, I think lesson planning would be the most fun for me as a teacher. I enjoy creating plans and lists. I like to be creative, so being able to sit down and create a lesson is rather enjoyable for me. I was able to create a couple of lesson plans with themes involving Japanese culture during a volunteer job I performed in college. Imagining students having fun and learning through my process was very rewarding.
However, I have never carried out my own lesson plan. I believe that that as a new teacher trying not to be too scripted would be my biggest difficulty to start out with. I feel as a new teacher I would want things to go "perfectly", but this unit helped me begin to realise that being a teacher is also about growing with your students.
I also noted that in the unit test it's a little difficult to determine what part of the lessons should go where. For example, what part of the activity phase is better to go before the second part of the activity phase. I feel when creating my own lesson plan it would be easier to create a flow. But in the chance that I ever had to take over for another class, or for some reason teach a class without a set plan, I will need to develop my ability to think on the fly.
