This unit described the many different aspects of pronunciation such as intonation, stress, and articulation. As a native English speaker, there are many general rules to pronunciation that I had not recognized previously. It was also very interesting to learn about the different parts of the mouth that are used to create different sounds and how some sounds create vibration in the vocal chords, while some are only made by breath and friction. This unit also addressed the different ways in which we join certain sounds together when we speak.
