This unit I learned the differences between controlled, guided and creative activities and when to use them, as well as examples of these activities. In addition, I learned what the difference is between accuracy and fluency, and how to incorporate practice for these two categories of speech in my lesson. Moreover, I learned what could cause a student to be reluctant to speak in the classroom. This can be for a variety of reasons, but will generally have to do with confidence or interest in the topic. I also learned that handwriting is important to monitor. I did not realise that this could be an issue.
