The unit content was very informative and helped to more clearly categorize the part of speech. While before, I could easily tell the difference between nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives, I had not always been clear on the subcategories of these parts of speech, where this unit very clearly organized them and helped me to be more familiar with my own language and how to explain its grammar more clearly. Of particular interest and helpfulness to me were the following: the rule of how to order adjectives, why adjectives with more than two syllables use "more" rather than adding an "-er", zero articles, the difference between transitive and intransitive verbs, and an explanation of auxiliary verbs. These are things I knew intuitively as a native speaker, but never clearly considered the reason why I say things this way. So needless to say, I believe my reviewing this unit again and again will help me in the future to in turn help students understand the parts of speech.
