This unit provides a technical guide to pronunciation of the English language. By listing every component of the English phonetic language, then classifying them by how they are produced, a guide emerges in teaching how to make these sounds. Teachers will be encouraged to look for similarities with sound in the native language, and try to draw comparisons to sounds the students already know. For sounds the students don't know how to make, more creative methods will have to be used to get them to make the correct movements and intonations. Once they can reproduce the phonetics, the goal is to teach them which words produce which sounds, with sentence intonation being one of the more advanced aspects they learn later.
