The content of this unit deals with the idea of lesson planning and the importance of a teacher to make use of lesson planning. I found it helpful to see an example of the lesson plan shown on page 4 of this unit. In particular, I really like the personal aim and timing portions of the lesson plan. It's common that as teachers we always have in mind the learner objectives for the lesson but it's also very important to note that we are learning as we teach, so it's important that we set objectives for ourselves as teachers and aim to achieve those objectives throughout the lesson. Also, as mentioned in the unit, planning the activities will be simple, but having the awareness to know how long a phase will take will be an interesting part of teaching that will have to come with more English teaching experience.
