Unit 19 focuses on teaching special groups. The types of classes include; teaching beginners, teaching individual students, teaching children, business English/English for specific purpose (ESP), and the monolingual and the multilingual class. Teaching beginners includes; tips for teaching beginners, methodology and techniques, possible problems, and motivation. Teaching individual students includes; suitable 1-1 activities, homework, and checking. Teaching children includes; in the classroom, the lesson, class discipline/management, and some don'ts. Business English/ESP includes; clients, what they need, needs analysis and planning the course, a sample of a needs analysis form, planning the program, mid-course evaluation, materials, and things to consider (before you begin, your expertise, on arrival, during the course, after the course). The monolingual and the multilingual class includes; avoiding the use of the mother tongue in the classroom.
