Unit 18 covered modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. Modal auxiliary verbs were discussed, including their basic rules, and teaching ideas. Passive voice form, usage, typical student errors/mistakes, and teaching ideas were covered. Relative clauses included examples of pronouns in defining and non-defining relative clauses. Phrasal verbs included; type 1 – intransitive, type 2 – transitive separable, and type 3 – transitive inseparable. I found this unit a bit challenging as with the tenses units.
