In this lesson I learned about how to troubleshoot potential common problems in the classroom.These include students using their own native tongue, students who do not want to learn, students who have trouble with listening materials,teaching very large classes, teaching students at different levels, and what is to be used as a warmer when first getting to know a group of students which may or may not be already familiar with one another. Students may use their own native tongue when they do not understand something and this is actually quite common if they do not know how to ask the question in English. It is important to always emphasize that English is the appropriate language to use within the classroom. Some students do not wish to learn and become reluctant due to this. Although one of the reasons may be problems occurring at home, it is not my jurisdiction as the teacher to deal with these problems. When teaching students at different levels it may be necessary to have activities for the faster students to complete while the slower students are still finishing the first activity. When teaching large classes it is helpful to have materials already printed and ready to pass out in bulk so as to include the entire class, while it is not necessary to drill each student individually.
