It seems that there can be problems with large classes because of the varying levels of English. Suggestions are made on how to overcome that by building rapport with the first lesson instead of using the text book. Getting to know the students through games e.g. like 'pass the ball' where the teacher will pass the ball to the student and ask a question, after answering the question the ball will then be passed to someone else and so on. Very important to find out about the student's needs and aspirations with English which enables the teacher to design the course to meet the needs of the class. To also involve reluctant students thru' pair work, and role play etc.
