A teacher should be a person that is able to tell when to have active or passive attitude in a class. This is important because is very necessary for him to know when to teach, guide and correct errors; and when to make the students do activities for themselves, allowing him to monitor the students, and for them to improve they own personal learning experience without being dependent on the teacher's constant guidance.
It is also important for the teacher to know the cultural sensitive topics, and learning problems of the students. This in order to be able to provide better guidance and motivation to the students; and to avoid awkward situations in which a student could feel embarrassed, unmotivated or have other negative attitudes about the class.
