Unit Two presented and explained the various parts of speech including, nouns, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, adjectives, pronouns, prepositions and so on. Many examples were given on how to use the parts of speech in sentences. Rules for the use of articles can be tricky, for example when teaching a student who is not a native English speaker when to use the word "the", there are several confusing exceptions that students basically have to memorize. However the basic categories of nouns did help; they were good to see as a general guide.
