This unit was about troubleshooting. It served as a reminder that there will be obstacles within lessons. As a teacher, you can be proactive by preparing ahead for such incidents. Which includes having a backup plan and activities that will rectify the problems. One way of being prepared for obstacles within lessons is to review your lessons and activities after you have written your plan. This is where a teacher's analytical skills will come into play. For instance, if you have a mixed ability group of students and you think one activity is above the level of some students, you can revise the activity by making it simple for slower students. If the original activity requires students to write, slower students could choose to draw and then talk about their drawing using at least one sentence with the target grammar for the lesson.
