This unit answered the question "what exactly is a lesson plan?" including why and how they are used. Lesson plans are one of those subjective concepts in general when they are written down but when it comes down to the actual planning of a lesson there a few basics that need to be covered such as the timing of the class, objectives, procedure and anticipated problems. The sample plan was handy as a template. I could feel myself getting confused over how I would write down my own lesson plans so it was nice to have a visual aid. Unit 9 also mentioned the importance of post-lesson reflection. Self-evaluation as well as student evaluation allows for better planning in the future.
