Unit 16 covered Conditionals and Reported Speech, both of which were difficult to tackle!
Conditional statements (Zero, First, Second, Third & Mixed) which run the range of if--then clauses, brought me back to the days of 11th grade math class when I would begrudgingly have to write out proof statements ad nauseum. I enjoyed the teaching ideas section for this sub-section, as I can fondly remember doing chain conditional exercises around the horseshoe in my French classes.
Reported speech--information that is relayed to another from an original source--presented a degree of difficulty for me (a native speaker) to easily digest, in not only the varying tense changes, but also in the sequence of time expressions. However, the more I looked at the 'Progression Of Time' diagram provided, the more it made sense, and Task 5 on the Task Sheet for Unit 16 certainly helped iron out some of the lingering wrinkles.
