We discussed three types of classrooms and how to teach students of each category. Young learners are bright and energetic, so it is optimal to change the lesson frequently in order to engage their shorter attention spans. Furthermore, although it is important for every classroom, it is especially important to decorate the room with engaging visuals and their own work to increase class morale. Adult learners are highly motivated to learn. However, they cannot absorb the material as quickly as younger learners. It is important to be aware of the pacing of the class and center the class around more functional language based on their own goals. Finally, multilingual classes has the advantage of English being the common language to communicate with. In order to utilize this advantage, have students actively discussing in English with each other.
