I had learnt there are 5 main conditionals that help to express past, present and future possibilities. Reported speech is used when i want to tell another person what the first person said. I am also shown a table on the conversion of tenses from direct speech to reported speech. The time expressions are also modified during back shifting. I did some google on modified time shift. Now is convert to then/at that time. Today is converted to yesterday/that day/Monday/the 18th of July. Last week is converted to the week before/the previous week.
