This unit defines the basic components of a sentence. A sentence is composed of subject + verb+ object. This unit also introduces the major types of nouns, adjectives, adverbs,verbs, gerunds, prepositions, conjunctions, and pronouns. I learned from this unit the ability to distinguish between transitive and intransitive verbs. I also learned how to put adjectives in the right order: size,age, colour, material, and then noun. I also learned how to distinguish between the different adverbs of degree and frequency.
