This lesson divides the 4 learning skills in two groups: receptive and productive skills and focuses on the first ones. Receptive skills are listening and reading and from my point of view it gives more detailed and interesting information about writing. I have learnt the difference between authentic and non authentic materials, specially that when using non authentic materials it must be an encouraging text for the student in the sense that he/she already understands the vocabulary. I have also understand the difference between scanning and skimming plus I have learnt to distinguish the ESA methodology better with the given example.
