I am very grateful that it was this program that I connected with. I have longed to teach, but I am not a traditional person. ESL was an avenue I felt would pull my strengths and best meet the needs of a classroom. This class, along with my welcomed critiques have given me confidence to walk into a classroom of monolingual students and given me the tools to develop a vibrant curriculum that will meet the needs of the students. I will never forget the “CD”, and I will use the interests and level of the students to supplement the course book with stimulating materials. I will share my love for education and travel – this will be the best of both worlds for me. And, each student will leave my classroom confident in the knowledge we shared.
