Institute Fastest TEFL

Going into this course I had the expectation to become a better english teacher. I graduated from a University in the united states as an Elementary Education Teacher with a concentration in Natural Sciences in 2002. I went to volunteer at a school out of the U.S. and agreed with the founders of the school to help them by starting an english Program for their students. The only problem was that I felt as though english was the area I was least prepared to teach! Since then, I have been doing my best to teach english to the students when a friend of mine mentioned that she had taken this course online and recommended it to me. So, after saving up money for the course, I signed up. *I have gained confidence as a teacher thanks to this course. Two areas that I felt like I really needed to improve in were: grammar and teaching strategies. I learned much more about english grammar and do not find it so intimidating now. I also feel encouraged and refreshed with new teaching ideas. One thing I immediately have changed is to begin speaking more english with my students and not relying on the native language as much.
