I personally learned a lot. It gave me a better idea of what my students are going through at my school and expanded my knowledge into how complicated language forms can be. I am personally taking Korean now as a means to further understand how students feel.
I am hoping to use what I learned to better help students within my classroom as I teach them conversational english only. Many mistakes are made, but I just never could really help them understand why this word goes before this word. Now I can better explain this. At my school I can also help my teachers understand why certain sentences are wrong. Many english teachers at my school have a better understanding of the grammar than I do so this course helped me understand the basics so I don’t look so stupid when teachers ask me technical grammar questions.
I don’t see myself teaching english all my life as I have a teaching degree and will probably move onto a teaching career in a public school somewhere.
