I have gained a lot from this course. In particular, the ESA structure has bee tremendously helpful in my lesson planning as well as how I conduct my lessons. I am flexible in class, but I prefer to have an underlying guide or outline on which I can rely in the course of a lesson. The ESA format has provided a good structure for outlining my lessons and including all aspects of english. The grammar units were good review for me. Grammar has always been a strong point for me, but it was nice to have things spelled out in a review, as it has been a while since I have studies english grammar myself. The tips about conducting myself in the classroom and how to deal with a variety of students and a variety of goals was also very helpful to me. I plan to try many of these approaches in my classroom. I am not a trained teacher (until now, of course) and this study has helped me develop my skills in the classroom and equipped me with the knowledge and tools to plan interesting and effective lessons for my students. Mostly, what I have gained from this course is confidence, confidence as a teacher of english.
