I have definitely learned a lot from this course. I have given private english lessons before but never in a class setting so I think this has helped me get an idea of what to expect and how to properly plan for large groups. I was able to better understand the grammatical areas of the english language. Even though I had been taught them before a long time ago, it was good to get a refresher and to dip into some of the more difficult issues. This will definitely help me feel more confident when I am teaching. Also, the different lesson plans will give me an outline to use in my classes from now on. One of my favorite parts was watching the video in unit 10. It gave me an actual visual to base classes on. I could see a poor teacher and a great teacher so I can use that as a reference of what to do and what not to do. In addition to these things, this course has given me several games, activities and ideas to use in my later classes, whether it be a one-on-one class or a class full of students. I feel very prepared and confident now in teaching the english language and I look forward to putting my knowledge into practice.
