As a native english speaker I never thought about the language and how its spoken or written, or how things are said and why. Yet when I started this course I didnt know what to expect but now Im glad I took the course. This course has taught the simple things that I have forgotten and the course taught/shown me things that I didnt even realize that I was speaking them or writing them, plus it taught me something that the schools didnt. Most of all Ive learned important teaching skills, how a teacher should conduct the class, plan ahead of time and most of to be patient when teaching english to foreign students. Once I get this certificate I plan to travel the world, to stay in a country for six months to a year depending on the contract. So I can get to know and truly understand the culture, which is better than just passing through as a tourist. However my ultimate goal is to open up a restaurant and visiting different countries around the world and getting to their culture and their food will help towards that. Plus I have feeling that I dont plan to return to my home country, I believe once I find a country, that country where I might just stay, live, and maybe settle down and start a family. Even though this written part of the course was very informing and doing everything it can to prepare someone like myself to teach in front of the class, it can never truly prepare me, I will have to go out there myself and experience it firsthand.
