As a result of completing this course I have a portfolio of model lesson plans I can refer to while I am preparing actual lessons, notes with examples on how to teach certain grammar items from my worksheets, and an understanding of how to plan a course curriculum. Learning how to approach students has been particularly useful, as I had not learned yet good strategies for correcting students or addressing their specific needs in an ESL/EFL setting. Now I know what to do and how to plan for both. As a result of this course, I have also had the time and opportunity to synthesize new materials with what I already know as an experienced teacher. I will use all of my new knowledge appropriately when I begin teaching an ESL or EFL course because I will be making informed decisions. This course has been invaluable.
